We will arrange for you, free of charge, to provide a legal consultation in your practice area and location to a client who has pre-paid to Planet-Legal a set fee in order to obtain summary legal advice from a lawyer in their desired practice area and location.

This service is curated by Advocate Placement, 25+ year recruiter, and parent of Planet-Legal.

You are short-listed as a lawyer vetted for suitable experience to match client specs submitted in a private, non posted needs form and vetted for regulator compliance. The most suitable lawyer is approached for his/her consent.

A one or two-hour universal flat fee will be charged for any lawyer consulted irrespective of level or area of experience or location. The fee is payable in advance of consultation, and includes both the lawyer’s fee and the Advocate Placement recruiting fee. In return for fee security, you will receive from us, as your agent, a slightly lower fee, for services that practitioners often provide free of charge. Advocate Placement will charge the client a modest one-time placement fee. So far one and two-hour packages are available. We have no stake in any matter you are contacted on through Planet-Legal or Advocate Placement, beyond the initial legal consult placement fee.

Upon conclusion of the consultation, you will provide the client with a standard form where client confirms receipt of legal consultation. You include that form with your bill to Advocate Placement and we will remit to as your payment agent, funds previously received from client on your behalf.

With your consent, we will provide the client with your preferred contact information. Please contact the client within 24 hours of his or her contacting you. The consultation format, whether face-to-face, email, phone, etc will be determined by mutual consent.
